• David Wood interviewed by Terri Gross, "Moral Injury Is The 'Signature Wound' Of Today's Veterans." November 11, 2014.  FreshAir.  This isan excellent interview with Terri Gross about the moral wounds of war. David Wood, raised a Quacker, was a conscientious objector who did alternative service during the Vietnam War and who has spent much of his adult life reporting from war zones, including years in the middle east. This interview is a great introduction to his three-piece series of articles on this topic in the Huffington Post.

• Nancy Sherman,   Afterwar: Healing the Moral Wounds of Our Soldiers. New York: Oxford University Press, 2015  This is a superb book on the moral wounds of war.  Sherman, a renowned philosopher who specializes in Aristotle and the Stoics, also has background training in psychoanalysis and was the first holder of the Stockdale Chair in Ethics and Leadership at the U.S. Naval Academy.  She brings to this discussion a wealth of diverse skills that make her uniquely qualified to explore this topic.

• Stephen L. Carter,  "The Violence of Peace: America's War in the Age of Obama" from Yale Law Librarians on Vimeo.  An excellent talk/discussion of President Obama's policies and just war theory.  Stephen Carter is a professor at Yale Law School who concentrates on ethical issues.
